FileFlex V1 is officially here Windows + macOS (Beta)

After a lot of building, testing, refining, and polishing, FileFlex V1 is now officially live. What started as a focused transfer tool for creators has grown into a much more complete first release, built to make importing, sorting, and managing files faster, cleaner, and more reliable.

What’s new in V1

FileFlex V1 introduces the core workflow the app was built for, with a stronger and more stable overall experience.

Presets are now a much bigger part of the workflow

One of the biggest improvements in V1 is the move toward a more preset-driven experience. You can now build transfer presets around how you actually work, including destination rules, file extension filters, excluded folders, duplicate handling, sorting behavior, and auto-start preferences.

The goal is simple: less repetitive setup, and a workflow you can reuse again and again.

Better sorting options

Sorting has also improved a lot in this release. You can now organise files more cleanly with options like sorting by date, sorting by file type, and mirroring folder structure.

That gives creators more flexibility depending on the project, media type, or archive workflow they prefer.

The free version is better out of the box

FileFlex Free now offers a more practical default experience, including a Basic preset for general transfers and support for a custom preset workflow. That makes it easier to start using FileFlex immediately while still keeping advanced features for Pro.

Pro is now fully connected

With V1, FileFlex Pro is now properly wired into the real product. That includes activation flow, license validation, email delivery, recovery and resend support, and stable backend communication.

In other words, the Pro side is no longer just an idea in progress. It is now part of the actual release.

A cleaner first official release

A lot of this release was not just about adding features, but making the whole app feel more dependable. V1 includes cleaner UI behaviour, better preset handling, improved transfer logic, clearer settings, fewer confusing controls, and more stable overall behaviour.

MacOS Beta

FileFlex for Mac is now available in beta with the same core features as the Windows free version. There is still a lot of work to do on the Mac side and might still be far away from full launch, but the beta is a great way to get started and provide feedback on the Mac experience. You can download the latest Mac beta from the download page and start using it right away.

This is just the start

FileFlex V1 is the first official release, and it sets the foundation for everything that comes next. There is still a lot planned ahead, but this version is the point where FileFlex becomes a real, usable product instead of just a beta concept.

Thanks to everyone following the build so far.
